SEKAR & Co began in 1999 as a small electrical retail store in Gowripuram, Karur, founded by Mr. Chandrasekaran. There was nothing fancy about it — one shop, honest prices, and a belief that customers treated fairly would return. They did. For over a decade we simply did the work in front of us. In 2012 we opened a branch in Namakkal for plumbing and electrical goods — it still serves that community today. In 2017 Kannan Chandrasekaran, son of our founder, joined the business. Then came the hard years. We closed during the 2020 lockdown and reopened only gradually. In February 2021 we lost our founder. Kannan took charge and made a simple decision: return to our roots.
